The constant renewal of life is my inspiration. The sky and earth changing colors and shapes in continual rejuvenation are the mystery and beauty of life that is the subject of my work. I live and work 4,300 feet up on top of a mountain that is in a deep forest in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. You can see for a 100 miles. Sometimes you can smell the ocean, which is far away, on the wind. I experience a feeling of forever in this quiet place. I try to take this in and open to the huge life force that surrounds me. I sit at my easel and it is like walking through a door. Painting is like a deep meditation. Painting for me is like a dream, my true dream. I invite you to view my work and share this experience of renewal and rejuvenation with me.
